Potassium management is critical in the pursuit of high-production fertility, which is why in-field potassium monitoring can be very productive. Potassium is utilised during fruit and seed filling and is critical to maximising crop yields. However, potassium is often overused in contemporary horticulture and excesses can tie up magnesium and boron. Monitoring sap potassium levels throughout the crop cycle can assist in balancing and optimising potassium application.

OPERATING GUIDE Perform a 2 point calibration following the instructions in the instruction manual. Recalibrate before each use (once only if performing several measurements)
SAP TESTING PROCEDURE Apply a few drops of freshly extracted sap solution to the electrode chamber ensuring that both electrodes are covered with solution. Wait for a stable reading. Alternatively apply sap to the paper sampling sheet, ensuring the sheet covers both electrodes
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
