Sometimes in biological agriculture it is necessary to “clear the decks” before repopulation with beneficials.

Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant is a revolutionary new concept in pathogen control, utilising a patented Quaternary Ammonium Compound. It can be a valuable tool in a variety of situations. Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant is registered for use as a foliar spray on flower crops to control disease organisms and to manage pathogens in irrigation water (non-food crops only).

ACTIVE CONSTITUENT

120 g/L didecyldimethyl-ammonium-chloride

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
General disinfection of growing medium (inert or non-organic), equipment (such as pruning shears & ploughs), footbaths & hands:
100 mL/10 L water (1% solution)
Keep wet for over 10 minutes for best results.
General disinfection of cold rooms, packing sheds, tunnels, seedtrays & other hard surfaces:
100 mL/10 L water (1% solution)
First remove all organic matter from surfaces and keep wet with Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant solution for over 10 minutes for best results.
Disinfection of irrigation water (non-food crops only):
5 – 20 mL/1000 L water for continuous dosing
When dosing for the first few times, the dirt/algae/organic matter will be discharged and may clog drippers, spitters or sprinklers. Therefore, rinse your irrigation pipes frequently. The cleaner the irrigation water to be treated, the better the result. May be used in fertigation water. Do not apply directly via fertiliser tank.
Plant Sanitation: Carnations, Chrysanthemums and Cut Flowers:
100 mL/100 L water
Growers are advised to check for varietal differences by first treating a small sample. Apply to foliage with first application after transplanting or 6 weeks after planting seed. Apply at 7 day intervals.
Plant Sanitation: Roses in green/shade houses:
50 mL/100 L water
Growers are advised to check for varietal differences by first treating a small sample. Apply to foliage at 10 – 14 day intervals.
Post-harvest treatment of Cut Flowers in containers:
15 mL/10 L water
The stock solution may be used for up to 7 – 10 days if kept clean. Do not keep cut flowers in stock solution for longer than 48 hours.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS – Effective against a range of fungi and bacteria pathogens. – Stays active as long as it is in solution (does not oxidise). – Under heavy agitation, foam may form and a defoaming agent (food grade) may be useful. – Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant has wetting characteristics, so a wetting agent does not need to be added. APPLICATION: For foliar application as a plant sanitiser for flowers, good coverage is essential. Ensure that both upper and lower leaf surfaces are covered. Spray to runoff with standard spray application equipment. COMPATIBILITY: Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant may be used with fertigated water. Do not apply directly via fertiliser tank. Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant is compatible with a range of fungicides commonly used in horticultural production. Further information is available from Nutri-Tech Solutions. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT: Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

Store in the closed original container in a cool dry place out of the reach of children. Do not store in direct sunlight. Triple rinse or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

ACO RESTRICTED May be used on non-food contact surfaces. Prohibited for use on food contact surfaces, except for specific equipment where alternative sanitisers significantly increase equipment corrosion, and if used must be followed by detergent cleaning and rinsing. Must show no detectable residue prior to the start of organic processing, (page 110, Annex IV of the AOS-Ammonium sanitiser products).

  • Read safety directions before use.
  • RESTRAINTS: Use on plant materials: Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant is not a single means of controlling infection. It is not intended to replace the use of fungicides. Path-X™ Agricultural Disinfectant is compatible with most fungicides and use should be incorporated into a normal spray program.
  • Withholding period not required when used as directed.
  • Not to be used for any purpose or in any manner contrary to the label unless authorized under appropriate legislation.
