A high performance microbe brewer designed for volumes between 400 L - 1000 L.

The Brewstar 1000™ is a versatile and multi-faceted microbe brewer incorporating aeration, agitation and transfer pumping capacity. The unit provides a bypass system that allows the user to fill spray rigs from the brewing unit without having to stop the aeration of the brew mix. The unit uses two venturis that are facing forwards and back and angled slightly towards the floor to provide agitation and prevent the formation of dead spots. The Brewstar 1000™ is an integral component in intensive horticulture where brew volumes rarely exceed 1000 L at a given time.

Benefits

  • The Brewstar 1000™ is best suited to brewing volumes of between min 400 L - 1000 L max. Multiple units can be employed when brewing larger volumes.
  • The unit can be used as a transfer pump for many situations.
  • Air is supplied by 2 venturis which create circular water movement.
  • The pump kit comes complete with fittings that can be adapted to any brewing tank with a brew depth of less than 1 metre.
  • The Brewstar 1000™ features a 100-micron mesh bag which can be used to capture fibrous residue from the brewing tank during dispatch to the spray tank/fertigation tank.

The unit is packaged in a box.

Mode of Action: The pump is powered by 240 volt AC and is supplied
with a 10 amp plug.

When to Recommend: For small to medium scale agricultural systems when 400 - 1000 L of compost tea is required in a single application. Whenever soil-life needs boosting (in a majority of soils), or when rapid solubilisation of fertilisers and/or humates is required.

MISCELLANEOUS: The Brewstar 1000™ delivers billions of minuscule bubbles and has the proven capacity to supply the high oxygen demands of and aerobic brew.

– There is no heater with this unit, however heat transfer does occur from the pump housing and a thermometer is supplied with the kit to monitor this important parameter. In very cold conditions it is advisable to start the brew with lukewarm water, but in general the microorganisms generate their own heat during their prolific multiplication. If the temperature of the brew exceeds 35°C it is recommended that further cold water be added to the brew to reduce the temperature.

– The pump and tank should be flushed after each brewing with a solution of 1% Path-X™ (1:100).

– The pump is supplied with a 12-month replacement warranty. For all repairs contact NTS for nearest dealer details.

– Ideally food should be allowed to flow through the pump as suspended bags may cause anaerobic pockets.

– The bypass hose is used to supply brew mix to the spray rig without interrupting aeration of the brew. The brew solution should always be strained via the mesh bag provided to prevent filter/nozzle blockages.

– The nozzles should be directed towards the bottom of the tank in opposing directions to ensure no dead spots form during brewing.

WARNING: Regular use of this equipment to dissolve or mix agricultural chemicals in concentrated forms may result in corrosion of some internal components and seals due to the high salt content, acidity or caustic nature of these types of chemicals. NTS accepts no responsibility for any equipment failures occurring from such use.

IMPORTANT: Due to the nature of the submersible pump it does not completely drain the brewing tank and an amount of tea will be left in the bottom of the tank if the pump is used to empty the brew vessel. A separate transfer pump is recommended if this is a problem.
